Another excellent post to this august website. I agree about the increased range of a bicycle while retaining the ability to experience a place. I’ve often said my cycling around the DC area that it offers all the secret passageways that drivers cannot see or experience. It’s a parallel universe until one arrives at an interception with a road (and cars).
