Horses at Midnight — Beloved is just about the most powerful novel I’ve ever read. It blows me away each time I read it. And the genius of Morrison’s prose (which resembles poetry when you lay it out as you have) improves with each reading. There are layers upon layers.
By the way, your last couple of pages have looked gorgeous. What material are you typing on?
