Thanks, Catalina. The Part Two pages of ‘Caroline Says’ are typed on Clairefontaine Clementine 80g paper but my scanner renders them as a kind of salmon pink instead of orange. Never mind.
I’m about to finish reading ‘Cultural Evidence’.
Claire, nothing yet. But let’s give it another week or two before you send a picture!
Brendan, sorry to hear about the gall bladder. I’ve had trouble with mine over the years and they wanted to take it out, but it’s been behaving the past two years. Always a risk around the holidays with the rich and fatty foods.
Dbd, bummer about the job thing, but it doesn’t sound like it was a good fit for you anyway. Here’s hoping the future holds better things.
On another note, I know that coronation is not causation, but both Juan and Brendan are typers without gall bladders. What are the odds? Maybe we should get stickers made for our typewriters: THIS MACHINE KILLS GALL BLADDERS.
I lost mine as well.
Thank you all for your well-wishes. I was told 20+ years ago that my gall bladder harbored a monster stone (>2cm) and expected it would become a problem at some point. Thank God for modern surgery and pain medications. What did our ancestors do? (Die in agony, largely…)
Brendan, sorry to hear about your health troubles. Hop you mend fast.
DUSTRUSTOILINK: thank for the lind words two days back. You’re right: “gray” could be a sound. That was unintentional but, yes, I must have internalised the bleak colour of my rainy day wake-up.
