  1. Hi, Catalina. I didn’t know myself, why they’re called cell phones, till I looked it up, now – cell for cellular – but I couldn’t resist the play on words. It’s Maggie who’s (type) writing to her father, and both sisters (type)write to themselves as they try to figure out what they’re thinking and feeling.

  2. Catalina: There’s an inspired typo in your charming letter to your sister: “thinkness”. This could mean the amount of thought that goes into the ink, or, conversely, the amount of ink that goes into the thought…

  3. Linda: In an unusual follow-up, the Supreme Court today released a joint statement from Justices Sotomayor and Gorsuch that read, in part:

    “Reporting that Justice Sotomayor asked Justice Gorsuch to wear a mask surprised us. It is false. While we may sometimes disagree about the law, we are warm colleagues and friends.”

  4. Robert and Linda, I think the SCOTUS is a lot less political than either the pundits on the left or right would like us to think. WG, yes, “thinkness” would be a good title for a 5-minute poem by Leo Madigow to write. Of course I meant thickness of ink. But I had ink on my mind.
