Paul in Austin: I’m so sorry to hear about your sister. Having lost multiple family members to various causes, it’s debatable whether there’s any “better” type of terminal illness, but cancer in most forms is a terrible struggle. May her pain be minimized.
I will pray for Becky, for you, and for all her loved ones. The unavoidable calculus of life is that we will either mourn those we love, or they will mourn us. We don’t get to make the choice, but we can embrace the fact that it is painful precisely because we love, and are loved.

Austin, My heart goes out to you. I will be praying that Becky’s last days are peaceful — and that you have the grace that is needed to see through these dark nights of the soul. God, as such, will not abandon you. There is a light. “There is a balm in Gileaad…”
Very clever, Leo. Loved it.
Thank you, dbd.
