  1. Rusty, thanks for the compliment on my record player. Scott sent me a list of items to check and might be fixable. But just like typewriters you need a backup. Will send photo tomorrow of that one. Roger, I found a duplicate lp of Procol Harum with orchestra if you’d like it. I also have 2 eight track players and huge box of tapes. Probably get rid of them but they take batteries so if I ever own a car might need to use them.

  2. DRO&I: I’ll admit, you got me. Working on your cipher visually now, after realizing I couldn’t feel the raised dots on my screen no matter how hard I pushed.

  3. Kent: That is a remarkable list. My Dad and his parents lived through all of it, in the Bernal Heights area of San Francisco. He related vivid stories of scrap drives, junk peddlers, ice wagons (my grandparents still used a converted ice box as a refrigerator into the 1980s), and blackout blinds. Absolutely formed the man he became.

  4. Thanks Linda, but I’ve had that LP on vinyl now for years and on eight track before that. It’s the only Procol Harum I had until I got their greatest hits years ago. What a hell of a band they were in whatever incarnation, with Brooker the one constant. They were still recording and performing well into this century. Look at one of the many videos of them in concert. There’s one from a Danish nightclub I like because it showcases their great drummer, B.J. Wilson. He was phenomenal. You can also hear him on Joe Cocker’s With A Little Help From My Friends.

  5. Brendan, the braile was provided by !&? (not to be confused with DRO&I). Hello from One Typed Page. I hope you will be having a happy and good day with no braile typos. I actually make many typos with all my senses. It was actually fun to decipher most of your message. Cool machine. I’ve never seen one up close.

  6. !&?, Oh, the message was to me and all of us: “HELLO ONE TYPED PAGE i HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GOOD DAY. CAT YOU READ WHAT I AM WRITING I WONDER.”
