Linda, I would say the Covid risk on Amtrak is lower than it is flying & if you’ve got your shots I wouldn’t worry. Christine & I recommend spending the extra bucks to get a roomette or a full room in a sleeper car. Nice for privacy & if you want you can eat in your room although we prefer the dining car. There are YouTube videos of folks traveling by Amtrak that give you a good idea of what the experience is like.
