    I haven’t finished Ask the Dust, book or movie, either. I hold onto the book because I think I will, but don’t. I’ve been tempted to put it in my Little Free Library. Maybe I should (there’s that despised word again….).

  2. Barbara, I have alot(too many) of books that I haven’t gotten to or started and haven’t finished. I just can’t bring myself to get rid of them.
    Mike and Barbara: Sorry for the misunderstanding. The picture was taken a few months back at a coworker/friend’s house. I was in the bathroom because it was late and I was trying not to disturb the whole house. I live on the other side of town…the ghetto lol. In a tiny, one room, rundown apartment with only one door. I’ve never had my own writing space like that. I type in the living room/kitchen on a little table fighting the roaches as they creep up on me to see what I’m writing 🤷🏾‍♂️

  4. Barbara, hope you’re feeling better by now. No one tells you that most of us pay for dental work, prescription glasses, co-pays for medications and office visits. Most of my social security goes to pay for Medicare, secondary coverage and a worthless prescription Plan.
    I highly suggest watching Ask the Dust movie along with Can You Ever Forgive Me? Reading puts me to sleep so I prefer movies.

    1. Don’t get me started on modern medicine in this country. We’re lucky on the one hand and on the other hand the costs to the consumer are often monumental.

      I saw Can You Ever Forgive Me? in the theatre when it came out but that would be a good one to see again. Thanks! Just saw Three Color Red on HBO Max. (subtitled) I liked it a lot but afterward, I saw to Brian, what’s the longline for this film? What was it about? If you see it, tell me what you think. (That goes for everybody.)

      1. As insider, I can rant with the best of them. It’s a sad state of affairs. Medicine is a racket and that is shameful. 😩

  5. Ah, running on glass…Well Mike the first time I realized I was running on glass I was already running on it. No injuries. It is all in conditioning. In FL proper conditioning was super important as the concrete, and especially asphalt got extremely hot if the sun was up. Not may soft trails there as there are here in the great North.

  6. I agree with you nice ladies that the US healthcare system is just plain mean. But I fear it will remain so as long as there’s a Republican Party.

Just for fun (though I wouldn’t read or watch anything on the basis of a logline) I googled ‘Logline for Three Colours Red’ and this came up (three times as shown): A model discovers a retired judge is keen on invading people’s privacy.     1. Leo, Yeah, see? That tells you not much about the movie. One of those films that’s hard to describe, yet totally enjoyable to watch.

  8. Rose, I especially enjoyed your tribute to the great Los Angeles Dodger announcer, Vin Scully. RIP I was born and raised in Los Angeles; he is all I grew up with–listening to baseball. More of those memories on my next OTP.
