I’m glad that you are feeling better Alex. Sometimes the darkness is important so that we recognize the light.
Mike, How could your wife not be impressed! I don’t get the Hallmark channel. Do you remember the name of the movie?
The Perfect Pairing.
Mike, I found it on Netflix (if it’s the same movie….)….
There can be some confusion. It’s all in the “article”. You want THE perfect pairing, not A perfect pairing.
That’s what I figured. Watched a minute of “A” Perfect Pairing and turned it off, thinking that couldn’t be it.
Alex, I’m glad you’re on the mend! I wondered where you were.
Wow Alex, sorry to hear covid hit you so hard. I’d never experienced the mental symptoms that I had, and it sounds like your symptoms were way worse than mine. Glad you’re doing better.
Alex, with your permission I will ask my mom to send you Reiki during her daily practice. I’ll listen to black metal and think of you. Maybe some old stuff like Venom. Xicano, I changed offices at least every year. Having some hearing loss since birth, I always had a good reason for needing my own space- even if the problem was that I COULD hear the crap my co-workers were saying. Linda, I’m starting back to watching just a little bit of the news now that the circle is tightening around the orange shitgibbons’s life. (a Twitter user named Darren coined the term “shitgibbon” and I was very impressed when it evolved to “a tiny fingered, Cheeto-faced, ferret wearing shitgibbon” and then, by Pennsylvania state Sen. Daylin Leach, a “fascist, loofa-faced, shit-gibbon.” Name-callers have never had a better target although I do hope there is no future need to think up any new ones.
Adam – nice “motorbike”. I can’t tell much about it, brand, size, or horsepower. But it looks like a “canyon cat”, something that could raise my pulse. I owned 11 motorcycles between 1957 and ?, about 48 years. There’s no match for the wind and the scents that that a motorcycle provides. I now ride a Territrike recumbent with pedals. The speed better matches my reaction time. No bricks here.
Nah, not much pulse-raising here, Scott. It’s a 250cc Suzuki, used mainly like a two-wheeled car. Good for the commute, cheap to run, and that’s about it!
Lina, Nice to see you in type and watercolors. Do you practice a martial art with a katana (sword)? Whoa!
Joe I enjoyed that poem. So many times I manned the rails as my family and friends faded into the horizon. Your representation of those feelings felt so genuine.
A lovely pen Barbara. I think Italians put their passion in art. Pens are no exception. But, then, I am biased. 🙂
Linda, I cover my machines with a kitchen towel. That seems to work well and the are easily available. Had some custom covers made on Pinterest.
Michael, thank you! I will be posting a series of poems in the next few weeks, most in chronological order, starting as far back as the late 1970s. Most of them are the original typings on the original paper.
JVC I like your words. Treat us, por favor, to more. Poetry is the hurting, and hopefully the healing, of a person being heard. Not to pigeon hole any artist. But thank you JVC👍🏾
