Erratum: Sorry, readers of Caroline Says, and any Russian-speakers: I was inconsistent on today’s page with the spelling for the English form of ‘uncle’ in Russian. It should be :
дядя
dyadya

khorosho!

Hi, Catalina. As you probably know, that word is pronounced ‘horosho’; not everyone knows that in Anthony Burgess’s ‘A Clockwork Orange’, where the slang called ‘Nadsat’ was based on Russian, (some copies carried a glossary at the back,) ‘horrorshow’ was Alex’s version of ‘cool’. I think it was later adopted by Bowie on the Diamond Dogs album which was equally influenced by ‘1984’.

Ciao, I’m looking at the Apertura DT6 6″ Dobsonian Telescope. I still haven’t made up my mind. Still looking, I guess. Here’s the link: https://www.highpointscientific.com/apertura-dt6-6-inch-dobsonian-telescope
Tom, that’s a great choice! I’ll be interested in seeing what others you might consider. -ciao
