Hi, Alex. Those typewriter prices! I browse Etsy just so I can have a good laugh when someone is asking several hundred pounds (not even dollars) AND a hefty shipping charge for something in exact same condition I bought on Ebay for a tenth of the price. By the way how much do you want for the pink shoes?

Sorry, Alex, already sold my soul back in the early nineties. I was drunk at the time, and tried to get a refund, but I didn’t have a receipt.

Now I remember: I sold my soul for a pair of bright yellow winklepickers (also known as ‘brothel creepers’) which once made me slide under a London bus. Never buy shoes from SatanSoles! (Half of that story is true.)

Thanks for the shout-out, Catalina! That photo actually shows the ‘epicentre’ of the session – the two on the left (girl with the flowers in her hair and the one, back to us, in a grey top) are where it all started.

Erratum: Page 508 of Caroline Says has Caroline reading Gayl Jones’s ‘Birdcatcher’ – although first published in 1986 in German (I don’t know why), the English version first appeared this year in the U.S., so Caroline would be time-travelling about three years. Please delete the penultimate line on that page. (‘The Birdcatcher’ is a good book, by the way.)
