Thanks, Tom. My father was much older than my mother. He would have been 122 this year. He donated his body to science so it took about eighteen months before we got back the bits they couldn’t use. Today, October 25th, is the anniversary of his death, one Wednesday at 5.55 in the afternoon. I made the awful mistake of kissing his cheek at the memorial not realising it would be ice-cold.

Hi, Tom, and other readers of CAROLINE SAYS. I have good news, I think: I learned, finally, how to make a zip file, so all 518 pages that I’ve written and scanned and posted so far are available as a zip file. The pages can be read in numerical order. The zip file is about 250 mb and I will send it to anyone who writes to me at
I’ll be using WeTransfer, which takes a while on my old computer, and the file self-deletes if not downloaded within 7 days. (The download itself takes a minute or two.) There also also two pages of character notes which may contain spoilers. So, if you want it, just drop me a note at the above gmail. Thanks for your interest.

Thanks, Mike! I actually didn’t even know that myself! Good to know! So, it’s been 14 months so far. And that would be about six months after I started using a typewriter again, after a quarter century of not even owning one. I think the pages themselves have been written with about twenty typewriters, mainly Olivettis and Olympias. Part 3 is drawing to a close. Part 4 will be the final part. I think…I wouldn’t have got this far without the existence of OTP and its supportive contributors. Thank you all!

Mike, Thanks for the start date. I’m all thumbs sometimes flipping through archives. Very helpful.

Leo, Memorializing our loved ones through art is important, whether it’s writing, painting, video, etc. To help me cope with the grief of losing my twin brother 3 years ago, I made a documentary film about the last ten years of his life, which he dedicated to searching for the elusive Sasquatch in the swamps of Florida. Tim was quite a character, a local legend of sorts. If anyone’s interested, here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD9CPrDhq60
If you want to read Caroline Says from the beginning, the first page appeared on August 28, 2021. https://onetypedpage.com/2021/08/28/
